Is God calling you to serve as an intern at St. George's?

Serving as an intern at St. George's is an amazing opportunity to explore more of what it means to be a disciple of Christ and to serve his church.  The internship is designed to equip you for life, work and leadership. Interns at St. George's are part of the wider Leeds Diocesan Internship scheme, which runs from September to July and involves practical placements, training and being part of a Christian community of interns.

Our priority is to help you grow in relationship with God. Your internship will involve leadership experience; training in biblical studies, theology and leadership; learning how to develop a rule of life; opportunity to develop transferable work skills; and time to consider God’s calling for the future.

As an intern you would spend one day a week gathering for worship and teaching, and two or three days a week serving in a church. You would also be expected to seek a part-time job one or two days a week outside of the church to gain work and discipleship experience in the workplace, and to have one day a week as a day off. There is no fee for taking part in the internship scheme and it includes accommodation.

At St. George's there are opportunities to serve in a specific ministry area such as Youth, Students, Children, and Worship & Tech, as well as gain experience from across the St. George's team of three churches.
