If you're an international student trying out St. George's, we'd love to host you for lunch after the 1030 service, hosted by members of the church in St. George's Centre. The service leader will invite you to join the lunch and give further instructions during the 1030 worship service.

18:30 Weekend Retreat
We'd love you to join us for a retreat weekend with other members of the 1830 congregation from Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th October 2026. It will be a time of rest, community, worship, workshops and enjoying the countryside surrounding the Abbey.

Christmas Extravaganza
Aimed at early retirees and those over 60, the Christmas Extravaganza includes a 3-course meal and musical entertainment. It's a great opportunity to catch up with friends and meet new people in a relaxed atmosphere. There is a Carol Concert in church in aid of St George’s Crypt at 12pm then the Christmas meal will be served in the Church Centre from 1.15pm.

This evening will examine how our faith might relate to other faiths, what the aims of interfaith activity might be, and how we 'Serve the City' within our church vision. David Kibble will be leading this interactive session with help from Ruth Walker and Beth Eastwood Dewing.

New Wine Celebration
Guest speaker Ken Benjamin
Join us for an evening of worship, teaching and ministry in the Holy Spirit. We will be joined by guest speaker Ken Benjamin. The evening will have times of extended sung worship, prayer, a talk from our guest speaker, and an opportunity to respond with prayer ministry available.
This is a free event, no booking required. Doors open and refreshments served from 6pm. Free parking is available at Joseph's Well car park.
Ken Benjamin is Director of Church Relationships at LICC (London Institute for Contemporary Christian Culture), where he helps equip churches to make whole life disciples. Ken will be speaking on the theme of confidence in the Christian faith and discipleship.
Neurodiversity and Reading the Bible
A follow up to our Neurodiversity session, with Dr. Joanna Leidenhag, focussing on how neurodiversity impacts how we read and interpret the Bible. A Zoom link will be sent in the week of the event.

A quiet hour at the cross with Bible readings, music and silence.

Maundy Thursday Meal
This is a meal for the whole church family - feel free to book as an individual, family, or small group. There will be time to catch up and chat over good food, and everyone will be asked to do one small job to help the evening run smoothly (such as laying the tables, clearing plates, or part of the washing up). We will enter into the Last Supper by sharing in some elements of a traditional Passover meal (including telling the Exodus story), and we'll end by sharing bread and wine together.
Tickets are £12.50 for adults and £6.50 for children. Water will be provided but please feel free to bring your own drinks.
Booking closes at noon on Thursday 26th March.
