Confirmation is one of the ways that the Anglican church welcomes people into the family of faith.
In confirmation, candidates affirm the promises made at their baptism (whether by others if they were a child, or themselves as an adult) and the local bishop prays for the gift of the Holy Spirit for those who have been baptised. Confirmation is a great opportunity to affirm your faith and to pray for more of the Holy Spirit in your life.
If you are already following Jesus and baptised:
- Do you feel like St.George’s is your home church, and you want to play your part in the wider vision of this resource church, to preach Jesus, make disciples, serve the city and send out leaders?
- Would you like to stand before your church family and affirm your baptism promises, and be reminded of God’s commitment to you in your baptism?
- Would you like a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit in your life?
If you are a baptised member of St. George's and are interested in being confirmed, please email hello@stgs.org.uk and let Angie know.
Adult candidates will be invited to attend a preparatory session from the following:
Sunday 19 Oct 12-1pm (after 1030)
